A Creative, Integrated Mind Body Approach

Cognitive Behavior Therapy

Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) is a short-term, goal oriented psychotherapy treatment that takes a hands-on practical approach to problem solving. Its goal is to change patterns of thinking or behavior that may contribute to life's difficulties, and change the way the client feels, thinks, and behaves.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) focuses on developing emotional regulation skills, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT involves using practical tools to help manage intense emotions, navigate life's challenges, and build healthy relationships by developing healthy coping skills.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) uses principles of mindfulness, acceptance, and personal values to enhance psychological flexibility. ACT helps individuals let go of harmful thoughts and beliefs so that individuals make choices that align with their core values.

Cognitive Processing Therapy

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) is a specific type of cognitive behavior therapy that helps individuals learn how to modify and challenge unhelpful beliefs related to traumatic experiences including child abuse, combat, sexual assault, and natural disasters. CPT is a structured treatment approach that helps individuals create a new understanding and conceptualization of the traumatic event so that it reduces its ongoing negative effects on current life.

Mindfulness

I incorporate principles of mindfulness to help clients to become more self-aware of their feelings and emotions in order to help with self-regulation. Mindfulness helps to develop the ability to be more present and in the moment in order to re-pattern areas of life where one may feel stuck.
