Counseling for College Students

Are you a college student who is going away from home for the very first time? Nervous about college life and how you will balance it all? Perhaps you are a returning college student and had difficulties managing all the responsibilities that come with life as an adult. No matter the stage, the transition into life as a college student can be met with mixed emotions ranging from intense joy to nervousness and fear of the unknown. While going away to college can be a monumental time in a person’s life, it can also be a time of uncertainty as to how you will balance schoolwork, life responsibilities, internships, and let us not forget your social life.    With new found independence can come great responsibility to manage it all.  College students are often faced with many pressures that can cause stress, anxiety, and a host of other unique challenges.  The good news is that you don’t have to face this time in your life alone.  I enjoy working with many college students to help develop a happy and healthier balanced lifestyle so that you can experience the life that you want to live.  Areas that many college students find supportive include:

  • Using Effective Communication

  • Managing Test Anxiety

  • Stress Management

  • Creating a Healthy Work/ Life Balance

  • Self-Care

  • Goal Setting and Planning

  • Problem-Solving

  • Making Supportive Connections

I would welcome the opportunity to work with you to help guide you through life’s journey to help you reach your desired goals.
